What’s coming up…
Youth week is nearly here. We are very excited to host a team from Penrith who are visiting us for the whole weekend.
Life group meets on Wednesday evenings. Recently we have been preparing to run our first Alpha which will start in May. Alpha is a great opportunity to explore life’s big questions over a meal. No question is off limits, and we really want to hear what you think! Why not join us? (click here for more information)
Easter came early but we were ready! Our Good Friday service was very different to ‘normal’. We sat around tables and remembered the events of the first Good Friday while sharing in a communion meal of flat bread and grape juice. The ‘one hour’ timeline stretched to three as people stayed and enjoyed chatting over hot cross buns. A great morning!
Resurrection Sunday was a true celebration of Jesus overcoming death and the grave. We worshipped, celebrated and finished the morning with an easter egg hunt for the kids, an egg and spoon race and game of catch (with raw eggs!). Some visiting puppies enjoyed cleaning up the eggs that didn’t make it.
Lifechurch Care – our church on the street!
Come and check it out. We have an op shop for affordable clothes, furniture and bric-a-brac – you’re sure to find something special! Then we have our food pantry which provides affordable groceries for those experiencing financial hardship. Our Facebook page – Lifechurch Care – Op Shop and Food Pantry – is the place to keep up with special offers etc.
Baptism!
The saying goes “What would Jesus do?” – and as followers, we aim to live as he demonstrated. So it was a great privilege to baptise Bill in the Fish River. Quite a few of us were able to celebrate with Bill and his family on a sunny weekend in March.
Congratulations if you have read this far! Keep an eye out for News 3.0 in mid winter. Until then, thanks for visiting our site. Hope to see you on Sunday or at the shop. Blessings, Pip
